Nike’s premier girls basketball events – the Tournament of Champions and Nike Nationals – return to Chicago, Illinois, on July 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2026.

Unlike other summer showcases that merge multiple brands, leagues, and sponsors, Chicago stands alone – home to one brand, one league, and the two best girls basketball events in the world.

There is no question that Nike’s Tournament of Champions (est. 1997) remains the most prestigious and competitive club basketball event in existence. Paired with Nike Nationals (est. 2005) – the championship of Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) – these events have solidified Chicago as the epicenter of girls grassroots basketball and the ultimate destination for the nation’s top programs and college recruiters.

In 2026, the combined tournaments will play together for the eighth time, continuing to build on a legacy that transcends the court. The event will again fill more than one million square feet inside McCormick Place, the largest convention center in the Western Hemisphere. Together, they will welcome elite teams from all 50 states and every Canadian province, including all 32 Nike EYBL programs and most of the nation’s top independent clubs.

Beyond the competition, Chicago remains a world-class host city – recently named the Best Big City in the U.S. for the ninth consecutive year by Condé Nast Traveler. From its skyline and lakefront to its renowned restaurants and entertainment, Chicago provides the perfect backdrop for the game’s brightest stage. Many of the city’s premier hotels have partnered with the event to accommodate teams, families, and fans attending the 2026 Nike Tournament of Champions and Nike Nationals.
